The Founder

Dr. Ron Adany is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in launching and managing startups, business development, and software R&D. He has co-founded four startups, two of which are in e-commerce, demonstrating his expertise in this field. His achievements include participating in the prestigious CitiBank Accelerator, winning a MasterCard Innovation Award, and generating over $10 million in sales.

Ron's academic journey began at 14, leading to a Ph.D. in Computer Science by age 25, complemented by an MBA. He is also a mentor and lecturer, eager to connect with new and innovative thinkers.

Driven by a vision to support African communities through economic development, education, and empowerment, Ron founded in 2013 BuildStartup100, introducing a hands-on workshop, "How to Build a Startup with $100". This initiative provides essential knowledge and experience to aspiring entrepreneurs.

During his time in Africa, Ron was inspired by the region's vibrant handicraft market. Recognizing the potential to connect these artisans with global markets, he launched Crafts of Africa, an eCommerce platform that showcases unique African crafts, driving both economic growth and cultural exchange.
